Low latency
Sending only changed tiles over UDP minimizes latency and link load.
N-DMS Screen Control Server is a clean and lightweight system for monitoring student and employee computers in real time. It enables convenient desktop viewing for each workstation, quick reaction to issues, and a more organized way of conducting classes or training sessions.
The software allows you to instantly open a live view of any selected computer, take remote control using the mouse and keyboard, lock the screen, and send files directly to users. It also enables convenient collection of files and entire folders from students, which are automatically saved on the instructor's computer in a well-organized folder structure. The built-in presentation mode allows the teacher's screen to be broadcast to all connected clients simultaneously, making it ideal for lectures, demonstrations, and collaborative problem-solving.
One of the program's greatest advantages is the ability to establish a connection with the teacher's computer instantly using a one-time configuration code. This allows both teachers and students to use their own laptops connected to any local network or Wi-Fi without requiring static IP addresses, manual network configuration, or integration with directory services. Simply providing the configuration code is enough for the computers to be automatically prepared for cooperation.
The application is fast, automatically adapts to network load, and requires no complicated configuration. Thanks to its online licensing system and intuitive user interface, it is an excellent solution for schools, universities, and businesses that want to efficiently monitor workstations, improve communication, and conduct training sessions or presentations. The software has been specifically designed for computer laboratories, training rooms, and campus networks.
Sending only changed tiles over UDP minimizes latency and link load.
HELLO/WELCOME and PING/PONG keep the session registered and alive on LAN.
All data (image, commands, files, clipboard) between server and clients is encrypted with AES for secure transmission.
Mouse and keyboard emulation on the client side, including mouse-wheel scrolling.
Changes detected per-tile — significant bandwidth savings on static scenes.
Quickly save a JPG screenshot and record MP4 video of activity on the remote computer.
The interface scales to the resolution and pixel density of workstations.
The app can run headless (-silent) with no window or taskbar icon. The client automatically
logs the user in
(based on system username and host) and starts streaming to the server without interaction.
Lock a single client screen or all at once. Handy during classes and tests.
Shut down all computers at once from the teacher’s menu — finish classes quickly.
The teacher gets a clear notice when a client switches to Secure Desktop (e.g., installer or UAC prompt).
Send text directly from the server clipboard to the client — up to 8,000 characters.
The teacher can send files directly to a student’s computer, saved automatically in the “Downloads” folder. Files can also be delivered to all students at once, which is perfect for distributing materials or assignments. The transfer progress is shown in the status bar, and students receive a notification when the download is complete. Just like with remote screen control, file transfers do not require any confirmation from the student.
The instructor can broadcast their screen (a window or the entire desktop) to all student computers in real time. The image automatically scales to the students’ screen resolutions, and the transmission uses UDP to ensure minimal latency.
New: student computers now include a Text Extraction from Image (OCR) feature — with a single click, users can extract text from the currently displayed slide and copy it to the clipboard or save it (supports PL/EN languages, processed locally).
A student can raise their hand with a single click in the application (“Raise Hand”). The teacher instantly receives a notification with the student's name and can open or maximize the student's screen view to quickly assist with the reported issue.
The teacher can view, in real time, the list of windowed applications running on a student's computer – without interrupting their work. This feature allows for quick verification of whether the student is using only tools related to the class.
Additionally, an advanced full-text filtering mechanism has been implemented, enabling precise application searches (e.g., using required terms, exclusion operators, and phrases). Based on this, potential misuse can be detected.
When specific filter conditions are met, the module can automatically open the preview window of the selected student, allowing the teacher to respond immediately.
The software allows lecturers to quickly find students even when a typo is made in a first name or surname. The search engine also supports transliteration, making it possible to find students by entering their names using the Latin alphabet, even if they are stored in the system using Cyrillic characters.
The list of currently connected students can be exported to a TXT file, making it useful for attendance tracking, participant record keeping, and administrative documentation.
The software enables instructors to receive files and entire folders from multiple students simultaneously. All received data is automatically organized and stored on the instructor's computer in a well-structured folder hierarchy, making it easy to collect assignments, laboratory work, projects, and other course materials.
A built-in transfer monitor displays the progress of incoming files in real time, allowing instructors to track the transfer process with ease. The software also prevents previously received materials from being overwritten by automatically creating new folders for subsequent submissions.
The teacher can generate a unique configuration code and share it with students. After entering the code, the client application automatically connects to the correct server, without the need to manually configure network settings.
This solution allows both teachers and students to use their own laptops during classes. The program does not require static IP addresses, so it also works in networks using dynamic address configuration (DHCP).
The software can listen simultaneously on multiple network interfaces of the instructor's computer. This means that the instructor is not limited to a single network and can simultaneously manage students connected through different network interfaces.
For example, the instructor's computer can be connected by cable to the network in a computer lab while simultaneously providing its own Wi-Fi hotspot for students using their personal laptops. Students from both networks can connect to the instructor's software at the same time, allowing the instructor to view and control their screens within a single session.
Simple client–server architecture with manual network interface selection.
Install the server and client. Choose a network interface in settings.
The client keeps sending HELLO until acknowledged. The server replies WELCOME and registers the station.
The client detects changes in screen tiles, compresses to JPEG and sends via UDP.
The server can send mouse/keyboard commands; PING/PONG supervises the connection.

Under typical office workloads, latency in the tens of milliseconds is achievable thanks to differential (tile-based) transfer and JPEG compression. Bandwidth depends on how dynamic the screen is — the more change, the higher the stream.
Yes. Full remote mouse and keyboard control is available — clicks, cursor movement, keyboard shortcuts and mouse-wheel scrolling. Teachers or admins can quickly take control when needed.
After entering a key, the app verifies it online and activates the product. A separate key is required for each installation.
The license is a single-activation license and becomes permanently bound to the first device on which it is activated. If access to that device is lost (including hardware failure, data loss, device replacement, or system reinstallation), the license cannot be transferred or reactivated. To use the Software on a new device, a new license must be purchased.
The solution is optimized for LAN. It can work over the internet, but requires a VPN and proper ports/routes.
The application does not use any relay servers — packets stay within your local network (e.g., behind your router). This architecture improves security because data never leaves your infrastructure.
Yes. You can save a single JPG screenshot and record MP4 video of the entire activity. Video quality is configurable — from lighter quick-preview captures to higher quality for archival or evidence.
The application uses the following communication ports and protocols:
